You may know me as Icarus, icky, moot point, mp or the owner of the sexy penguin avatar (I may have to bring that one over to the Beat). A little about me: When it comes to writing, I mostly produce historical fiction. I generally aim for novel length, but have yet to finish anything. You could say I have committment problems. Occassionally I surprise myself and write something that seems totally random and out-of-character. Other than sticking to a plot until the bitter end, one of the things I struggle most with as a writer are my female characters. Nearly all the main characters I've ever created are male. For whatever reason, I find them infinitely easier to make interesting and I enjoy creating them far more. I play hockey at college and am a huge fan of the NHL team the Colorado Avalanche. Joe Sakic is my hero and 19 is my favorite number. I've always enjoyed watching tennis and several summers ago I began to work on my own game. My favorite player is Marat Safin, hence the current avatar image. I've traveled extensively: countless road trips from one end of the country to the other, several trips to Europe (and I hope many more!) and, of course, small trips to Canada for hockey tournaments. I'd love to visit every continent, except, I suppose, Antartica, at some point. I'm planning on living in the U.K. or Ireland for an extended period of time, maybe directly after college. I'm a history major with one year left of college (ack). I have no idea what I want to do with that, but I do know I don't want to be a teacher. Here's hoping I can make a living writing and use all my history knowledge to further my novels. Quick Comments Sponsored Links | Rate Me Social Actions |
